Cloud Interface with Android App
Amazon Web Services is used for storing the PING data in the DynamoDB table from the PING device. Android Studio and Amazon AWS SDK are used to create an Android App that is updated in real-time as real-time data is generated and uploaded to the AWS DynamoDB Table in the cloud. The table data is also reflected in the app in the form of votes, thus making it comfortable for the shopkeeper to view information instantly. As the PING device is being pushed, the number of votes in the App increases simultaneously.
A 'Help Me!' feature is also incorporated in the app which the customer can use to request the help of a sales representative. The Shopkeeper also gets the number of help requests in real-time and sense the urgency of the customer. In turn, a sales representative can quickly be sent to the customer which relates to better customer service.
The menu page of the App contains the PING feed button which when clicked will direct you to another page that displays the number of votes for each option as well as the number of help requests requested.
